SEO, or "Search Engine Optimization", is the process of making sure that your website has the content search engines want, in the format they want. This may encompass everything from aspects of the technical construction of your site to the content (such as the text copy), to doing search engine submissions the "right" way. It also means making sure your site puts people first! |
PPC, or "Pay-Per-Click" refers to a form of advertising on the major search engines where the cost of your advertising depends on how many times your ad is clicked upon. The amount per click, and the amount you're willing to budget per day, or month, can be custom set up to meet your budget and is entirely under your control. |
Social Media Marketing is a fancy term for marketing online with a focus on communication. Call it SMM, Social Networking (kind of redundant in my opinion) or whatver you like, it's simply taking advantage of new ways to connect with anybody you want to. Not all "channels" are for all businesses, but there are lots of choices -and plenty of ways to waste time. I can help you make choices and work out how make it useful and effective without wasting time or money. |

I began building sites back in 1995. For many years it was possible to incorporate the SEO essentials in every site I built, and with very good results. In the past few years, however, the field has matured - and the online competition has grown astronomically. It is now a broad and complex subject requiring full-time study. In addition, building web sites has also become more complicated - site owners want sophisticated graphics, multimedia, and interactivity, databases, content management, and many forms of specialized programming. This also requires expertise and full-time study.
We've reached the point in site building and site promoting where "nobody can do it all." In 2005 I made the conscious decision to focus on SEO, PPC and Internet Marketing. By the end of 2006 this became my
full-time specialty.
As internet-based marketing continues to change, evolve, and intensify, I continually work on extending my skills. My current focus is on growing into video, PR, and Mobile Web.
